Our Brother & Native Artist is Lost to Us

Seattle, WA – Community members will take to the streets. We will assemble at Boren Avenue and Howell Street at the sight of the death of John T. Williams onThursday, September 16, 2010 at 2pm to march in support of civil rights and demand police accountability.

Members of the community will make their way to the East Precinct and then proceed to Seattle City Hall to demand policy changes within the city government and police department to provide for greater police accountability, sensitivity and recognition of cultural practices and needs of those with disabilities, enhanced training and consequences for wrongful acts against citizens.

All community members are encouraged to join in honoring the lives of all of those whose lives have been lost in interactions with the police.
